Job summary

HCA Healthcare's St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with providers. You will advocate for patients and support exceptional patient experiences.

Your role includes assessing conditions, performing orders, documenting care, administering medications, and staying current on cardiac and trauma care practices.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift; identify and report changes in status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
