Job summary

Methodist Health System is seeking a registered nurse to provide highly professional nursing care to assigned patients in a PRN role at Methodist Dallas Medical Center in North Texas. You will perform direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process and collaborate with the care team to support the hospital's mission and values.

You must graduate from an accredited nursing program, hold a current BLS certification, be licensed in Texas or eligible, and have at least six months of RN

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current Texas RN license or eligibility.
• Six months RN work experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment.
• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family education process.
• Communicates to the team, coworkers, patients and family and ensures understanding of information.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
• Provides safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
• Takes personal responsibility for performance and professional growth and development.
• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Other duties as assigned.
