Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care to assigned patients using the nursing process. This role supports the hospital's mission and patient safety in a PRN shift schedule.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current BLS, Texas RN licensure or eligibility, and at least six months of RN experience. A team-focused, patient-centered environment with ongoing education and growth is offered.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support Certification.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment via communication and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for nursing components of patient education.
• Communicates with team, patients, family members and ensures understanding of information.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written documentation of patient information.
• Administers medications and IVs safely and accurately; supports patient care episode.
