Job summary

Novant Health East Cooper Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, SC, seeks an RN to deliver compassionate, individualized care to patients in rehabilitation. You will assess needs, monitor conditions, and coordinate with therapists and physicians to support recovery and independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, individualized nursing care to patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or other conditions requiring rehabilitation.
• Assess patient needs, monitor medical conditions, and develop care plans focused on recovery and improved quality of life.
• Administer medications, manage treatments, and support patients with mobility and daily living activities.
• Collaborate with physical, occupational, and speech therapists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams for coordinated rehab care.
• Educate patients and families on recovery strategies, medication management, safety, and transition to home or next level of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and promote patient safety within a positive team environment.

What You'll Do

• Assess patient needs, monitor medical conditions, and develop care plans focused on recovery, independence, and improved quality of life.
• Administer medications, manage treatments, and support patients with mobility, daily living activities, and rehabilitation goals.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive rehabilitation care.
• Educate patients and families on recovery strategies, medication management, safety, and transitioning successfully to home or the next level of care.
• Encourage patient progress and independence while maintaining accurate documentation, promoting patient safety, and supporting a positive team environment.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the appropriate state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or other bachelor's degree, At least one year of relevant nursing experience.
