Baystate Health, home to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, is seeking inpatient Registered Nurses to join our team on a part-time days schedule (6a-6:30p). The 32-bed Orthopedic Specialty Surgical Unit provides care for elective surgeries, trauma and a range of orthopedic conditions with private rooms and direct rehabilitation services.

Department Description:

• 32-Bed Orthopedic Specialty Surgical Unit located on the 7th floor of the Mass Mutual Building.
• 30 private rooms.
• The unit services a wide variety of patients, with a large population of elective surgeries such as total hip replacements, knee replacements and orthopedic trauma patients.
• The unit also sees those with acute conditions generally associated with trauma, ranging from fractures, ligament tears, tendon tears, and joint dislocations.
• Physical Therapy Room on unit for direct rehabilitation services.

SCHEDULE:

• Part-time days (6a-630p)
• Every other weekend and rotating holidays

Location: Baystate Medical Center Springfield

Pay:

• Experienced RN (1+ years of RN Licensure) $43.16-$65.00

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
• Education: AND required; BSN preferred.
• Education: Diploma in Nursing (Required)

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, Registered Nurse - State of Massachusetts

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
