Job summary

Henry Ford Health's Jackson Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide leadership on the 20-bed Surgical Universal Bed Unit in a mixed acuity setting, 40 minutes from Ann Arbor and Lansing, Michigan.

You will apply the nursing process from assessment through evaluation, coordinate care with the health care team, and teach patients and families while supporting evidence-based practice and nursing autonomy.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and maintain active licensure.
• Pursue BSN within the timelines stated to support clinical growth.
• Demonstrate clinical knowledge and ability to plan care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff.

Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is a 412 bed, Level II Trauma, Magnet designated organization situated in South Central Michigan, perfectly surrounded by lush golf courses and beautiful lakes, conveniently 40 minutes west of Ann Arbor, 40 minutes south of Lansing, and 40 minutes east of Battle Creek.

The Registered Nurse provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire
• Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel

Certifications/Licensures Required

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
