Job summary

Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is seeking an experienced RN to join the Neuro Universal Bed Unit. The 22-bed unit specializes in neurosurgery, stroke, and related diagnoses, offering growth opportunities and the first Henry Ford Virtual Nursing program.

The RN will lead coordination and delivery of quality patient care, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, and to educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Enrollment in a BSN program within 3 years of hire.
• Completion of a BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire
• Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
