**Position Overview: **
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Ketamine Infusion Center team. The ideal candidate will have experience in IV therapy, a keen understanding of nursing principles, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves administering ketamine infusions, monitoring patients during treatment, and providing education to patients and their families.
**Key Responsibilities: **
- Administer ketamine infusions and other adjunct therapies as prescribed by the physician.
- Monitor patients closely for any adverse reactions or side effects during and after infusion treatments.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ medical history and current health status prior to treatments.
- Educate patients and their families about the ketamine treatment process, potential effects, and aftercare instructions.
- Maintain accurate medical records, documenting patient responses and any changes in condition.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, infection control protocols, and best practices for medication administration.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients throughout their treatment experience.
- Stay current with advancements in ketamine therapy and nursing practices through ongoing education and training.
**Qualifications: **
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in [state].
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred; associate's degree in nursing (ADN) considered.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
