Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse with pediatric infusion experience to administer infusions and provide day treatments in an outpatient setting. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

The position requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Massachusetts RN licensure, and a minimum of 2 years of pediatrics with infusion and IV skills preferred.

Department Summary:

The Infusion and Day Treatment Program is a specialized outpatient care initiative serving patients from infancy through adulthood. It offers an alternative to inpatient hospitalization for individuals requiring infusion therapies and innovative medical day treatments. The program emphasizes a safe, secure, and family-centered environment, fostering strong, ongoing relationships between patients, families, and a dedicated healthcare team.

Common Therapies Provided:

• Blood and blood product transfusions
• Emerging therapies, complex infusion therapies, and gene therapies
• Metabolic enzyme replacement
• Food and drug allergy challenges and desensitization
• Management of outpatient PICC line complications
• Diagnostic endocrine testing
• Outpatient new onset diabetes program
• Outpatient sickle cell fever and pain programs

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care
• Administer infusions, provide day treatments, and offer clinical support in an outpatient setting

Minimum Qualifications
Education:

• A Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience; pediatric experience preferred

Licensure/ Certifications:

• Current Massachusetts license as a Registered Nurse (RN)

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
