Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for Infant Special Care Unit (ISCU) to provide safe and compassionate nursing care. The role requires using the nursing process to plan and evaluate care, while guiding unlicensed assistive personnel to deliver interdisciplinary patient care.

You will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes, contribute to safety, and promote a high-quality patient experience.

Qualifications

• NLN-accredited nursing program required.
• BLS/CPR certification for Healthcare Provider (AHA) required.
• Current IL nursing license required.
• 1 year of acute care or ISCU experience preferred.
• NICU/ISCU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide safe, effective, compassionate nursing care in ISCU.
• Use the nursing process to plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary care.
• Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes and continuity of care.
• Contribute to safety outcomes and promote high-quality patient experience.

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Position: Registered Nurse ? Infant Special Care Unit

• Location: Evanston, IL

• Full Time/Part Time: Full time, 36 hours per week

• Hours: 0700-1930 and 1900-0730, with weekend rotation

• Float: when needed

What you will do:

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in the ISCU

• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care

• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care

• Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care

• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need:

• Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred

• Certification: BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required (from AHA)

• License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required

• Experience: 1 year of acute care nursing experience or 1 year ISCU experience preferred

• Unique or Preferred Skills: NICU/ISCU experience
