Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Level II Registered Nurse to collaborate with the healthcare team and provide total, patient-centered care to an assigned group of patients.

The RN demonstrates accountability in the nursing process and participates in performance improvement and orientation of staff, with requirements including Virginia RN license (compact state possible) and certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS and ENPC/TNCC within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care, including oversight of licensed and unlicensed personnel.
• Coordinate involvement of patient, family and health team members in care, including discharge planning.
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care with the health care team.
• Assist Leadership to define standards of excellence for patient care and participate in care improvement.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality activities.
• Participate in orientation of new staff.
• Act as point of contact on hospital policies for nurses and health team.
• Engage in daily operational activities for safe patient/staff environment.
