Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Inc. in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care across a range of diagnoses in a long-term care setting. You will collaborate with the nursing team, physicians, residents, and families.

Responsibilities include nursing assessments, care planning, medication administration, delegation, and shift-to-shift communication. Must be a graduate of an approved nursing program and hold an active NJ RN license with CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing and licensed by the State Board of Nursing.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments with the nursing team to develop effective plans of care.
• Establish realistic, measurable short- and long-term patient goals with interventions to minimize rehospitalizations and evaluate outcomes.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
• Delegate patient care responsibilities to staff and supervise them to ensure tasks are implemented.
• Communicate patient information with assigned staff and between shifts.
