Job summary

Wellpath is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the KY DOC Medical facility in Lexington, KY for a full-time day shift (12-hour) position. You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process under Charge Nurse supervision, focusing on education and safe care delivery.

Requirements include an accredited nursing degree, active RN license in the state, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of clinic experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of one (1) year clinic experience.
• Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs with the Charge Nurse and staff.
• Administer medications, obtain diagnostic tests, and assist with minor procedures.
• Count controlled substances and follow policies and protocols for care.
• Document nursing encounters using SOAP charting and attend mandatory staff meetings.
• Communicate information to nursing staff, physicians, and supervisors as needed.
