Job summary

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, part of St. David’s HealthCare, seeks an IMC/Telemetry Float Pool Registered Nurse to assess patients, establish care plans and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe care delivery.

The RN will administer medications, provide pre- and post-operative care, educate patients and families, and assist with discharge planning while maintaining policy compliance and high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Requires RN licensure in TX and active license or compact license.
  • 1 year RN experience minimum.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and revise the plan of care based on patient response.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs and goals.
  • Administer medications and perform treatments per hospital policy.
  • Delegate tasks to non-licensed staff per standards of practice.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As an IMC/Telemetry Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for performing patient assessments, developing a plan of care, and implementing and evaluating care. As a member of the interdisciplinary care team, you will work collaboratively with the other members to ensure the safe and accurate delivery of care.

  • You will formulate a plan of care, revise the plan based on the patient’s response to treatment and regularly evaluate plan for effectiveness
  • You will consult and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop, evaluate and revise the plan of care to meet the patient’s needs and goals
  • You will administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy
  • You will delegate work appropriately to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice
  • You will provide pre- and post-operative patient care
  • You will provide education materials to patients and families on care and treatments
  • You will facilitate discharge plans in collaboration with the care team
Requirements
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Education
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma – Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing – Preferred
License and Certifications
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. FT/PT/PRN colleagues with a compact license from a state other than Texas must:
  • Apply for Texas RN license within 60 days from hire
  • Obtain current TX RN license within 6 months of application for TX RN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required as per St. David’s Healthcare policy
  • TNCC or TCAR or C-TAN certification – required within 12 months of hire
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – required within 6 months of employment
