Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a registered nurse for a full-time day shift. The role includes comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, and patient education within a large tertiary hospital.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensure accurate documentation, and participate in performance improvement. Florida licensing and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• RN license required with associate degree.
• BSN preferred for this role.
• BLS certification and Florida licensure required or in process.

Responsibilities

• Assess physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, evaluating and revising as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate care with medical staff and other departments for teamwork.
• Document patient information accurately in the medical record.
• Evaluate outcomes and adjust plans to improve health results.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication.
• Supervise and delegate care within the healthcare team.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond to code situations and provide stabilizing interventions.
