Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to join our team. The role requires 2 shifts per week with some weekend shifts and rotating holidays; flexibility is essential.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications safely, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy acute hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Proven nursing licensure (RN) is required.
• BLS CPR certification required; ACLS also required for RNs.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• PRN with 2 shifts per week; some weekend shifts and rotating holidays.
• Perform comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, and sociocultural factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; update as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure effective communication and teamwork.

Job Description:

• PRN agreement with 2 shift Per week availability with some of those shifts being weekend shifts also rotating holidays and hurricane teams - flexibility is required.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ acute care hospital setting (ED or PCU).

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]; ACLS also required for RNs - all certifications can be obtained via RQI during hire

Pay Range:

$31.53 - $52.24
