Job summary

Jobtailor in Oklahoma is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to provide direct or indirect professional nursing services across assigned settings. This role involves assessments, planning, interventions, education, and case management to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid Oklahoma RN license approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and two years of professional nursing experience
  • RN License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) and two years of professional nursing experience
  • Proficiency in English to perform essential functions
  • Knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques

  • Ability to assess patients, families, and communities and take appropriate intervention
  • Ability to counsel and teach patients and families
  • Ability to direct or guide non-licensed personnel to ensure quality care

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct or indirect professional nursing services in assigned settings
  • Perform nursing assessments, planning, interventions, evaluations, health education, case management, and prescribed medication and treatment administration
  • Assess health status and develop and implement nursing interventions
  • Deliver professional nursing care in an assigned unit, clinic, home, or other setting
  • Educate individuals, families, communities, and health care team members about disease prevention and health promotion
  • Supervise professional or paraprofessional personnel and collaborate with other health care professionals
  • Delegate tasks consistent with educational preparation and the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act
  • Assure quality health care through record review, peer review, direct observation, and outcome assessment
  • Perform specialized nursing functions and other related duties
  • Handle complex assignments with substantial responsibility and independence
  • Develop and present nursing education programs and evaluate learning
  • Complete quality improvement, mentoring, and patient-care surveillance assignments
  • Schedule work assignments, evaluate assigned staff performance, provide training, and ensure quality
  • Approve leave and initiate disciplinary actions when assigned
  • Coordinate health services or provide nursing care within an assigned county or geographic area
  • Act for nurse managers in their absence

Job description

Requirements
