The Registered Nurse II at the Medical University of South Carolina provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to patients and families using the nursing process. The role emphasizes safe, high-quality care and collaboration with the health care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Minimum requirements include an associate degree in nursing, SC RN licensure or compact state, BLS and ACLS all required, and at least one year of RN experience.

Minimum Training and Education : Associate degree in nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations : Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required , either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
