Job summary

Tenet is seeking a Registered Nurse at Northeast Baptist Hospital in Texas. The role involves nursing care for a group of patients with duties aligned to competency milestones, under minimal supervision.

A sign-on bonus may be available, with completion of required certifications within set timelines. The ideal candidate holds a Texas RN license, with BLS on hire and ACLS within 60 days; BH positions may require Non-Violent Crisis Intervention within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Texas RN license is required.
• BLS on hire; ACLS within 60 days of hire.
• 2 years in acute care for Med/Surg or Dialysis experience (preferred).
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention within 60 days for Behavioral Health (if in BH).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for assigned patient group under minimal supervision.
• Complete established competencies within introductory period.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Under minimal supervision, provides nursing care for a group of patients assigned to the nurse based on matching the patients’ needs with the nurse’ competencies. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• PREFERRED EDUCATION : Bachelors Degree
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE : None for Med/Surg and Behavioral Health 1 year in acute/chronic dialysis for Dialysis
• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE : 2 years in acute care for Med/Surg
• 2 years in psychiatric facility for Behavioral Health
• 2 years acute/chronic dialysis for Dialysis
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE : Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
• For RN in Behavioral Health: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into department
• PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: REQUIRED CCOURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• Dialysis Department: In addition to Basic Life Support, ACLS (AHA) must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into the unit.
• Behavioral Health Unit: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention for Behavioral Health must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into role
