Job summary

Tenet Healthcare's JFK Memorial Hospital in Indio, CA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery. The RN uses the nursing process to plan, implement, evaluate, and document care for pregnant patients, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and high-quality labor and delivery outcomes.

Shift: Nights, 1900-0730. Full-time with a 6 shifts per two-week pay period; some weekends required. Up to a $25,000 sign-on bonus for experienced RN/L&D staff.

Qualifications

• California RN license required.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, evaluate and document care for laboring patients using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care during labor and delivery.
• Monitor fetal status and respond to obstetric emergencies as needed.

The professional Labor and Delivery nurse uses the nursing process to plan, implement, evaluate and document care for the pregnant patient for the laboring patient. The L&D nurse considers the patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, language barriers, age, teaching needs, and readiness to learn when providing care to the pregnant patient. The L&D nurse involves the interdisciplinary team in the plan of care and patient intervention.
