Job summary

Harris Health in Houston seeks a Nurse Clinician II (NCII) to provide advanced nursing care within the department. The NCII independently manages common patient problems, applies nursing standards, and collaborates with caregivers to ensure safe, effective care for diverse patient populations.

Internal Float Pool NCIs may work in any unit within the assigned department; Registry and Agency RNs float across services, pavilions, and units as needed to maintain service continuity and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Texas RN license in good standing
• BSN preferred; required for Internal Float Pool/Registry RN roles
• Current Basic Life Support (AHA/Red Cross) certification
• Bilingual skills preferred

Responsibilities

• Independently and safely manage patients with common problems in assigned area
• Apply standards, principles, and algorithms to clinical situations
• Float within the service, across multiple pavilions or units as needed
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure quality patient outcomes
