Job summary

Harris Health seeks a Nurse Clinician II (RN) to deliver high-quality nursing care in our Houston, TX service area. You will assess and treat patients per Nursing Practice Act and our Nursing Service standards, working independently while coordinating with the care team.

Qualified candidates hold a Texas RN license (or eligibility), BLS certification, and have one year RN experience or GN program completion. Weekend and holiday scheduling may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Diploma in Nursing also acceptable.
• Registered Nurse license to practice in Texas (or eligibility).
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross; one year RN experience or GN program completion.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care per Texas Nursing Practice Act and Harris Health Nursing Service standards.

• Maintain clear, accurate documentation and effective communication with the care team.

Job Summary

The Nurse Clinician II (NCII) has knowledge and skills necessary to meet standards for professional practice specified in Texas Nursing Practice Act and by HCHD Nursing Service. The practice patterns of competent generalists are characterized by the application of standards, principles, and algorithms to clinical situations. The NCII independently and safely manages patients with problems common to patients in his/her assigned clinical area; recognizes when he/she needs assistance and seeks appropriate resources.

Degrees

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Diploma in Nursing; Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing

Licensure/Certification

• Registered Nurse; Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas
• Basic Life Support from an American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross approved program

Other Certificates As Required By Unit/service.

Work Experience: One (1) year full time RN experience or completion of GN Program
