Job summary

Harris Health System seeks a Nurse Clinician II to provide skilled nursing care in the Houston area. The NCII will independently manage common patient problems, apply standards and algorithms, and seek resources as needed to ensure safe, effective care.

Minimum qualifications include RN licensure in Texas, BLS, and either a BSN preferred or a nursing diploma. Culturally competent, bilingual skills preferred; weekend and on-call scheduling may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Diploma in Nursing; Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Registered Nurse; Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas.
• Basic Life Support from an American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross approved program.
• Work Experience: One (1) year full time RN experience or completion of GN Program.
• Language Skills: Bilingual Skills Preferred.

Job Summary

The Nurse Clinician II (NCII) has knowledge and skills necessary to meet standards for professional practice specified in Texas Nursing Practice Act and by HCHD Nursing Service. The practice patterns of competent generalists are characterized by the application of standards, principles, and algorithms to clinical situations. The NCII independently and safely manages patients with problems common to patients in his/her assigned clinical area; recognizes when he/she needs assistance and seeks appropriate resources.

Degrees

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Diploma in Nursing; Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing

Licensure/Certification

Registered Nurse; Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas
