Job Description
The Cedars‑Sinai Marina Del Rey Hospital is seeking a compassionate, dedicated RN who enjoys variety to support multiple hospital units on a rotating basis. This role, a Registered Nurse II in the Float Pool, involves orientation to multiple inpatient departments and staffing across the hospital based on need.

Float Pool Duties
The position primarily focuses on the following units:
- Medical Surgical
- Telemetry
- MSSU
- Ortho Units
- PCU
- Critical Care (ICU & ED as needed)
Floats may work across various departments ensuring adequate staffing.

Position Summary
- Provides direct and indirect patient care services, including medication administration and therapeutic interventions.
- Demonstrates advanced assessment skills to evaluate signs, symptoms, reactions, behaviors, and general appearance.
- Displays knowledge and identifies special adjustments for specific population needs, including cultural, spiritual, age, psychosocial, communication, gender, and economic factors.
- Provides assistance to co‑workers, new staff, temporary staff, and students.
- Functions as a change champion and participates in departmental quality improvement activities.
Hours: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. (Nights)
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
License/Certifications
- Valid California RN license.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- PALS if floating to the Emergency Department.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience.
- Demonstrated dedication to customer service and ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and healthcare colleagues.
