This position is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide direct resident care to an assigned group of residents during a shift. Responsible for prioritizing the delivery of direct nursing care using time and resources efficiently, integrating a standard based framework model. Provide clinical supervision for non-professional staff.
Residents at a long-term care facility.
Will have:
Must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico, or eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico requirements, or eligibility for a temporary license issued for employment at a specific institution in New Mexico and two (2) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.
This position is designated as safety sensitive. Employment is subject to pre-employment and random testing in accordance with all terms and conditions of federal and state law, rules and regulations in relation to alcohol and/or drug testing. Employment is subject to nationwide criminal background check and is conditional pending results. Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico. Successful completion of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPPA) training.
Works throughout the nursing service area (i.e., nurses’ stations, resident rooms, etc.). Moves intermittently during working hours. Is subject to frequent interruptions. Is involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances
