Job summary

Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, FL is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing care in a high-acuity Intensive Care Unit. The RN will collaborate with physicians, APPs, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, patient-centered care and adhere to professional nursing standards.

The ICU RN will monitor complex patient conditions, support rapid clinical decision-making, and maintain accurate EMR documentation while ensuring safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Florida RN license or eligible compact state licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale certifications required upon hire.
• ADN or Diploma required; BSN preferred.

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while adhering to organizational policies, procedures, and professional nursing standards.

In this critical care environment, the RN manages complex patient conditions, monitors changes in patient status, and supports rapid clinical decision-making to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Required

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or
• Nursing Diploma/Certificate Program

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure

Required

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida or eligible Compact State licensure

Certifications
