Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO, is hiring a Registered Nurse for CCU/MICU to care for critically ill patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. You will assess conditions, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide patient education.

Growth through credentialing classes is available, with a clinical ladder and tuition/bonus opportunities. Requirements include an active Missouri RN license; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license active in Missouri is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience in critical care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for medical/surgical patients in CCU/MICU.
• Assess condition, administer meds, monitor vitals, document.
• Educate patients and families; coordinate with the care team.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for managing the care of the patients experiencing medical conditions or surgical procedures. The nurse must be able to assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, keep records and provide patients and families with support and education. The Registered Nurse maintains a wide array of medical care knowledge in order to care for a diverse group of patients.

Education

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience

• Preferred: Previous nursing experience
