Job summary

Rochester Regional Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the ICU at Canton-Potsdam Hospital to provide assessment, care planning, and direct treatment in a patient- and family-centered model in accordance with licensure and hospital policies.

The role requires NYS RN licensure, BLS on hire, and completion of a 12-hour night shift with weekend commitments, delivering safe, compassionate care within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school program.
• Current, unrestricted New York State registered professional nursing license.
• BLS upon hire, if not AHA must obtain within one week of hire date.

Summary

Physical Requirements

Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. Pay Range

$42.03 - $57.45

Compensation

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
