Job summary

Job description

ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Location

Exeter Hospital

Position Details

Contract with guaranteed hours of 72 hours biweekly on all assignments – guaranteed hours do not include any on-call time worked.

Shift

12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every third weekend required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience.


• Successful completion of at least one travel assignment; preference given to candidates with more than one.


• Current ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.

Unit Description

10-bed ICU caring for critically ill adult patients including:

• Medical emergencies


• Post-surgical care


• Respiratory failure


• Sepsis

The ICU supports specialty services such as cardiac and surgical care, with intensivists and hospitalists on staff.

Pediatric Critical Care

While there is no dedicated pediatric ICU, the unit manages some critically ill children in early stages or for stabilization before transfer to tertiary pediatric centers.

Stroke Care

The hospital is certified as a Primary Stroke Center and utilizes telestroke and tele-neurology services. Acute stroke patients may be managed in the ICU as needed.

Additional Notes

Applicants must submit the required coversheet at the time of application. Previous employees must have been separated from the hospital system for at least 6 months to be eligible.
