Job summary

Saint Clare's Health, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a Registered Nurse for night shift in Dover, NJ. The nurse will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process, guiding patient and family education and supervising other nurses. Strong communication with physicians regarding patient status is essential.

Requirements include an active RN license in good standing, BLS/ACLS certifications, and critical care experience. CC RN and BSN are preferred; one year acute care experience is desired.

Qualifications

• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.

• Minimum of one year as staff RN in acute care; CCU/ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Provide direct patient care and supervise nursing staff.
• Direct family teaching and patient education.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians, including hemodynamic monitoring and diagnostic results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients; He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. Current and valid state RN License.


• 2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.


• 3. Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.


• 4. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.


• 5. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.


• 6. Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.


• 7. Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.


• 8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
