Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, PA, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for per diem ICU coverage. The role focuses on safe patient care using the nursing process, direct patient care, and education for patients and families within the ICU context.

The RN will communicate changes in condition to physicians, monitor hemodynamics and test results, and uphold privacy and confidentiality. A state RN license and BLS are required; ACLS and Critical Care credentials are preferred or obtained

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining ICU standards.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in patient condition including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic results and symptoms.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Overview

Lower Bucks Hospital is a community hospital, serving the Lower Bucks County region with medical, surgical, and emergency care. Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients; He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
