Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse in Port Huron, Michigan, responsible for providing safe patient care using the nursing process. This role involves direct patient care in the ICU and requires communication with physicians regarding patient conditions.

Applicants must have a valid RN License and BLS certification. Critical care experience is preferred, alongside various other qualifications such as CCRN Certification and BSN. Position is per diem, mainly on night shifts.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License required.
• BLS certification upon hire and keep updated.
• Completion of Critical Care Course is preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year as staff RN in acute care hospital ideally in critical care.
• CCRN Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe patient care utilizing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct patient care within scope of practice.
• Guide patient/family teaching and nursing personnel activities.
• Communicate changes in patient’s clinical condition to physicians.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients; He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
