Position Summary

Responsible for delivering person-centered care based on residents' needs and interests while preserving dignity and quality of life.

Essential Functions
  • Performs professional and restorative nursing services, including resident assessments, vital signs, medication administration, and treatments.
  • Maintains timely documentation of reports to ensure quality care.
  • Interacts with physicians, pharmacists, and medical personnel as needed.
  • Assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility, according to the Resident Care Plan.
  • Participates in all required in-service training and education sessions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position is active, requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing. Must lift or carry up to 50 lbs and push up to 250 lbs independently. Long hours and night/weekend shifts are common.

Travel

No regular travel expected; occasional travel for training, education, or emergencies.

Education & Experience
  • Four-year college degree preferred.
  • Current state RN licensure.
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years’ experience in a similar healthcare role preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Proficient with electronic records and office equipment.
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently.
