Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for our Home Health and Hospice services in South Boston, VA. The role covers patient care in homes and hospice settings, delivering high-quality nursing support, comfort, and dignity for patients at end of life.

The position is full-time, evenings (4 PM–12 AM) with travel up to 50 miles within the Sentara Hospice Services network. A VA RN license and BLS are required, with at least 1 year of nursing experience and hospice/home care

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Valid VA RN license required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Home care / hospice experience preferred.

Overview:

Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Registered Nurse.

Overview:

The Direct Care Registered Nurse - Home Health and Hospice Provides high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes or hospice settings, ensuring comfort, dignity, and emotional support during end-of-life care.

Anticipated Status/Shift:

Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Evening Shift (4PM-12AM)

Position Location:

Sentara Hospice Services - South Boston, VA (travel can include up to a 50-mile radius for position)

Salary Range: $33.61-56/hour

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits.

Requirements:

Education

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Required)

Certification/Licensure

• Valid RN License in state of practice (VA) (Required)
• BLS (Required within 90 days of hire)

Experience

• 1 year of nursing experience (Required)
• Previous Home Care/Hospice experience (Preferred)
