Job summary

Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services is seeking an after-hours hospice nurse to provide compassionate end-of-life care in Milwaukee and surrounding areas. You will assess symptoms, respond to patient and caregiver concerns, and perform in-person visits as needed to ease distress.

Responsibilities include managing end-of-life symptoms, implementing comfort-focused interventions, and carrying out physician orders within protocols.

Qualifications

Job description

Provide after-hours hospice nursing care to patients in Milwaukee North and surrounding areas. Assess patient symptoms, respond to patient and caregiver concerns, and conduct in-person visits as needed. Manage end-of-life symptoms and implement comfort-focused nursing interventions.

Carry out physician orders, follow established protocols, and ensure safe, compassionate care. Coordinate with the interdisciplinary hospice team to support continuity of care and timely communication of patient status and needs.
