Job summary

Haven Hospice in Chiefland, FL seeks a compassionate Hospice Registered Nurse to join our team. You will provide expert, patient-centered end-of-life care in home-based settings with a strong 1:1 focus and collaborative support from an interdisciplinary team.

This PRN role supports Monday–Friday 8a-5p with at least 2 shifts biweekly and on-call rotation as needed. Haven Hospice offers flexible scheduling, competitive benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure to practice in Florida.
• One year nursing experience required; 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in hospice or similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients
• Create hospice care plans aligned with patients' wishes and goals
• Direct nursing care: administering medications, treatments, and interventions
• Provide pain and symptom management
• Educate and support patients' families and caregivers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in on-call rotation as required by local branch

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure to practice in state of operation
• One year nursing experience required , 3+ years preferred
• Experience in hospice or a similar setting preferred
• Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification in states where required.
