The role emphasizes patient education, critical thinking, teamwork, and compassionate, patient-centered care in a busy cardiovascular outpatient setting. Experience in cardiology is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higher.
• Current Maryland RN license or qualifying Nurse Licensure Compact multistate license.
• Current BLS certification.

Aufgaben

• Welcome and assess patients by obtaining health histories, vital signs, and other clinical information.
• Triage patient concerns, identify changes in condition, and communicate findings to providers.
• Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.
• Perform clinical treatments and procedures, including IV placement (when applicable), phlebotomy, breathing treatments, and other provider-directed care.
• Monitor test results, worklists, and outstanding orders to ensure timely follow-up and continuity of care.
• Provide patient education, follow-up calls, and care instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Monitor and order clinical supplies while supporting efficient practice operations.
• Assist with training and supporting Certified Medical Assistants and other clinical staff.
• Complete daily quality control activities and monitor medications and supplies for expiration.
