Job summary

Mercy in Edmond, OK is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process and to maintain accountability for the care of assigned patients. You will evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other caregivers and coordinate patient care with other departments, upholding patient rights and Mercy Service Standards.

The role requires completion of a nursing program and an active RN license in Oklahoma or a compact state, plus at least 1 year of nursing

Qualifications

• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure; must meet state board requirements.
• 1 year of nursing experience.
• Life support certification current upon hire and within Mercy policy timeframe (no later than 90 days after hire).
• For ED: BLS, ACLS, PALS as applicable.

Qualifications:
Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Experience: 1 year of experience
Certifications:Life support certification current upon hire and in alignment with Mercy policy no later than 90 days after hire.
For Med Surg (MS) and Women's and Children's (WC) - BLS
For Critical Care (CC) - BLS, ACLS
For ED - BLS, ACLS, PALS
Physical requirements/demands:
- Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
