Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse for the General Surgery 3W unit. You will provide patient-centered care using the nursing process and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include maintaining patient rights and confidentiality, updating care plans, and supporting nursing staff during day-to-day operations. Full-time, 36 hours per week, night shift. Supportive Mercy culture and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Missouri (or compact license).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within 30 days.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Registered Nurse (RN) – General Surgery 3W

Location:

Schedule:

Full time | 36 hours/week

Shift:

Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
