Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville seeks an Registered Nurse to join the Weaver 6 General PCU team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time, day shift opportunity.

The ideal applicant will hold an ASN with RN licensure, BSN preferred, and BLS certification. One year of medical-surgical and hospital experience is expected to provide compassionate, quality patient care.

Qualifications

• ASN required for RN licensure.
• BSN preferred for enhanced practice.
• BLS certification required.
• Active RN license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients with medical, surgical, or other conditions including chronic issues or minor injuries.
• Educate patients and families about disease process and plan of care.
• Collaborate with physicians and other hospital departments to coordinate treatment.
• Advocate for patients and participate in unit staff meetings and activities.

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing (Required)

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Preferred)

Basic Life Support (BLS) Required (American Heart Association)

Licensed Registered Nurse (Required)

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses
• Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
• Educate patients and families about their disease process and plan of care
• Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
• Serve as patient advocate
• Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities

Experience Requirements

• 1 year Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
• Hospital Experience
