Job summary

Wasatch Behavioral Health is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, client-centered behavioral healthcare alongside psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams. You will support the mental and physical health of clients across programs and help advance recovery.

This role offers a competitive wage of $23.03–$41.29/hour DOE and licensure, with a Monday-Thursday 7:30 AM–5:30 PM schedule and a comprehensive benefits package including retirement, health, vision, and PTO.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited college.
  • Current Utah RN license required; LPNs may be considered as underfill.
  • Mental health experience preferred.
  • Must pass a drug screen, motor vehicle record review, and criminal background check.
  • Must obtain a Utah BCI clearance after hire.
  • Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and administer medications while educating clients on proper use and treatment compliance.
  • Track medication effects, recognize adverse reactions, and communicate observations to medical staff.
  • Document doctor's orders, progress notes, and intake/admission records for accuracy and audit readiness.
  • Participate in treatment team reviews and maintain up-to-date clinical documentation.
  • Coordinate with doctors, pharmacies, hospitals, and community partners to ensure continuity of care.
  • Complete health assessments including vitals, mental status evaluations, and progress monitoring.
  • Assist clients with accessing free or subsidized medication programs and maintain inventories.
  • Prepare pill boxes for designated programs and maintain controlled-substance logs.
  • Communicate with clients, guardians, and prescribers regarding medication instructions.
  • Provide individual and group health education to support positive mental-health habits.
  • Support residential programs with medication management, medical appointments, and daily wellbeing needs.
  • Investigate documentation discrepancies and ensure compliance with WBH protocols.

What You'll Do as a Registered Nurse

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
