Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, NC, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide leadership and high-quality nursing care within the Acute Care Unit. You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while supporting patients and families during critical recovery periods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree not required; an RN license is required.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Active NC nursing license (eNLC may apply) and BLS Healthcare Provider.

• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient record in a timely manner.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribed interventions.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Required License/Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider 4 Preferred License/Certifications: National Certification in area of specialty
• Preferred Experience:One year hospital nursing experience
