Job Overview:

Required Certifications and Licenses:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or currently enrolled.
• Current New Jersey RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Heart Association only).
• Completion of all Orientation requirements of Saint Barnabas Medical Center.
• Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day Shift
• 7 am - 8 pm, no holiday requirement at this time
• Every other weekend required; weekday schedule varies based on department needs.

Essential Functions:

Provide individualized, age-specific professional care to patients, supporting medical care within an assigned hospital unit. Uphold the philosophy, objectives, mission, and vision of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practice in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, ANA Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements, and other regulatory agencies. Participate in patient teaching, discharge planning, and unit Performance Improvement activities.
