Qualifications

• ACLS, BCLS, and TNCC certifications must be obtained within specified timeframes after employment start date.
• Current Texas RN license or Multistate Compact license; TX license must be obtained within 60 days if on a compact.
• Minimum 6 months of clinical RN experience as a licensed RN.
• Graduate of an accredited RN program or diploma.
• Bachelor’s/Associate degree or RN diploma required; licensure active in state.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and reassess after interventions.
• Deliver high-quality patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team.
• Document care in the medical record timely and accurately.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about any non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour, or PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
• Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 60 days of hire date)

Our facility features 12 all-private treatment rooms and a full range of services. Services include radiology, full-service laboratory, telemetry and immediate intervention. We offer 24-hour monitoring and testing of cardiac patients. We are committed to urgent and quality patient care. We feature unique use of a Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS).This system allows staff to electronically transmit diagnostic images.
