Job summary

Alomere Health's Alexandria Clinic seeks a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to support nursing services across multiple roles. The RN promotes patient health, collaborates with Providers, and delivers IV, assessment and emergency response within the clinic setting.

As a float/triage RN, you may cover injections, immunizations, wound care, and documentation in the EMR, with varied hours. Three days per week 7:30am–5:00pm and one day 7:30am–8:00pm, plus rotations and a consistent day off weekly.

Qualifications

• Active RN license to practice in Minnesota.
• Experience across multiple RN roles (float, triage) preferred.
• Strong assessment and IV skills; ability to respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Meet and follow quality measures to support quality improvement.
• Coordinate efficient and accurate patient care per Provider orders.
• Prepare and administer injections, immunizations, medications.
• Assist in emergent situations with crash cart and defibrillator.

Employment Status: Part-Time (0.9) - 72 Hours Per Pay Period

Hours:

• Three days per week: 7:30am to 5:00pm and one day per week: 7:30am to 8:00pm

• As a float,may occasionally be scheduled between the hours of 7:05am to 8:00pm

• One consistent day off per week
• Extended weekend rotation (every 14th) and Holiday Rotation

Position Objective:

The Registered Nurse (RN) promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing processes, collaborating with Providers along with the multidisciplinary team. This position is responsible for providing physical and psychological support to patients' friends and family members. The RN possesses skills within their scope of practice and presents with IV skills, strong assessment skills, ability to respond, and lead emergency situations within the clinical setting.

Essential Responsibilities:

Nursing Service Delivery

• Meet, maintain, and follow quality measures to support quality improvement
• Ensure efficient and accurate patient care coordination
• Perform all tasks per Provider order within scope of practice or specialty training
• Work in accordance of primary Providers' clinic schedule
• Possess prior authorization of medications

Alexandria Clinic Specific

• Prepare and administer injections, immunizations, and medications
• Administer treatments as prescribed by Provider
• Assist in emergent situations with strong knowledge and skill of crash cart and defibrillator
• Submit appropriate charges for services rendered
• Complete timely and accurate documentation

Patient Care

• Facilitate communication in regards to patient care between patient and Provider and work to be a patient advocate at all times

• Complete thorough documentation of all patient interactions in the electronic medical record
• Effectively communicate with patients, families, and those involved in the patients' care

Float RN

• Demonstrate knowledge and competency to do all the following procedures: IV's (including infusions, fluids, and antibiotics), PICC line care, PORT care, intravescial Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy, wound care, catheter insertion, and holter/event monitoring with additional procedures as necessary
• Ability to work in all RN roles (Triage, Protime, Refills, Specialties, etc.)
• Work throughout facilities completing a multitude of tasks (direct patient care, referrals, scheduling needs, triaging patient education, teaching, etc.)
• Complete accurate ordering of specific patient care supplies

Triage RN

• Provide Triage nurse assessment services for patient telephone calls and patients presenting to the clinic
• Schedule patient appointments
• Complete courtesy blood pressure and pulse checks, along with calibration of home monitoring blood pressure machine
• Document each patient interaction timely and accurately
• Notify Provider on patients' condition as appropriate
• Work closely with express care providers on accurate scheduling and monitoring of schedules
• Educate and advise patients per triage assignment, utilizing approved triage materials
• Provide patients with information as requested for clinic physicians and advanced practice providers
• Possess IV therapy skills
• Lead and provide direction in emergent situations
