An established healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated Clinical II Nurse to join their dynamic team. Under the direction of the Nursing Director for an assigned shift, the Clinical II Nurse delegates and directs comprehensive nursing care by assigning, instructing, and leading a team of professional and/or ancillary staff. The nurse possesses the qualifications of the Clinical II Nurse and performs duties and responsibilities accordingly. Additional duties may be assigned by the Nursing Director, and the nurse serves as a clinical resource.
This is a non-exempt, non-supervisory position for employees paid hourly, committed to a 48-hour flex schedule per week. Scheduled hours may be flexed down up to 12 hours weekly based on hospital needs. The Float Pool Flex RN works their assigned weekends and every other holiday. Temporary unit assignments may be requested to fill vacancies or LOAs. This position is ineligible for earned time holiday pay, jury duty pay, and bereavement pay.
Must hold licensure as a Registered Nurse in Rhode Island or under the Nurse Licensure Compact. A Baccalaureate in Nursing is preferred, with current RN licensure in Rhode Island. Must adhere to the Code of Professional Nurses and understand the Nurse Practice Act of Rhode Island. Current BLS is required; ACLS and PALS are required for the Emergency Department, with certification preferred.
Develop general proficiency as a staff nurse within three months of employment. Experience in a specialty unit relevant to the position is preferred.
