Under the direction of the Nursing Director, plan, delegate, and direct comprehensive nursing care by assigning, instructing, and leading a team of professional and/or ancillary staff. Possesses the qualifications of the Clinical II nurse along with duties and responsibilities. Performs other duties as designated by the Nursing Director and serves as a clinical resource.
Non-exempt, non-supervisory employees (hourly paid) who commit to a flex schedule of 48 hours per week. Scheduled hours may be flexed down up to 12 hours per week based on hospital need. The Float Pool Flex RN works their assigned weekend and every other holiday. Temporary unit assignments may be requested to fill vacancies, LOAs, etc. This position will be ineligible for earned time, holiday pay, jury duty pay, and bereavement pay.
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Rhode Island or via the Nurse Licensure Compact. Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred. Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS required for Emergency Department. Certification preferred.
Proficiency as a staff nurse within three months of employment. Experience in specialty units preferred. Knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act and the Code of Professional Nurses. Ability to provide culturally sensitive care across the lifespan.
