Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse to provide leadership in coordinating and delivering compassionate patient care. The role uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, delegating and supervising as needed and ensuring thorough documentation.

You will communicate key patient information to the healthcare team to support positive outcomes. The contingent II position requires ongoing certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, with unit assignments

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
• 1.5–2 years of recent related clinical nursing experience.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. Contingent Option II: Clinical Resources Department contingents that report directly to a House Manager, Clinical Resources Department. Meets all accountabilities of a Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Previous 1.5-2 years recent related clinical nursing experience and a demonstrated level of performance and practice required.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

Additional Information

UNIT OVERVIEW:

Float Pool–RN's will maintain a current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. They are assigned at the beginning of each shift to the unit if most need. They are assigned according to certified level of care.
