Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Michigan is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery. You will provide comprehensive nursing care, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs.

The role includes a 7am–7:30pm schedule on weekdays with every 3rd weekend coverage, and eligibility for a sign-on bonus and differential pay. Ideal candidates hold Michigan RN licensure, BLS certification, and have Labor & Delivery experience or related obstetric nursing work.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN credentialed by the Michigan Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire date; or Certified Instructor.
• Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
• Graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services to patients.
• Apply the nursing process within the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care to guide care and outcomes.

Uses independent professional judgment, analytical skills, and the nursing process to provide a full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services to patients. Within the framework of the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care and Benner's Domains of Nursing Practice, demonstrates clinical competence; compassion and customer service orientation; focus on process and outcomes; and cost-consciousness when assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to patients.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 months (60 days) of hire date or transfer date required.
• Certified BLS provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained with 3 months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Or, Certified Instructor.
• Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
• Education: Requires a graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.
