The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Float RN may be assigned to multiple units based on need and must maintain competency across all units. The RN delivers direct patient care within the scope of practice, guides patient and family education, and supervises other nursing personnel while adhering to professional standards. The RN is accountable for the care of assigned patients, communicates with physicians about clinical changes, and responds promptly to changes in patient condition or treatment response. Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality is essential.
